Features of Versions

There are the professional and the demo versions of AKABAK and VACS. The commercial and student licenses use the professional version.

In terms of modeling and calculation, all versions offer the same range of functions. For example, you can carry out the same simulations with the demo version as with the pro version. The demo versions can open and edit projects that have been saved in the professional version.

For AKABAK the pro version allows to store results from the solving stage of the Boundary Element Analysis. When you re-open the project the results of the previously solved BEM will be available and do not need to be calculated again. This feature dramatically increases work efficiency because solving typically is the most time consuming step for larger projects.
For VACS the professional version can store data in a project file whereas VacsViewer can only store single forms and export data-sets. However, the viewer can display data-sets stored by the pro version.

Commercial License

If you use the software for the development of products you need to purchase the commercial license of AKABAK and VACS.

The license is permanent. The Release Code is provided by a USB key. This key you need only for installation. Alternatively, the Release Code can be provided remotely.

Student License

If you use AKABAK and VACS for study or hobby you can get a student license which is free of charge. The license will be bound to your computer(s) with the help of a Release Code.

Demo License

The demo versions can be used freely with all features enabled but the saving of result files, see above at section Features. The demo version is ideal to get in touch with FE and to check whether AKABAK is the right tool for you. The demo version of VACS is called VacsViewer.

Note, in the demo version you cannot enter a Release Code. For the commercial and student license you need to download and install the professional version. The access to its download site will be sent to you by email.
