Abstract

This analysis aims to formulate an expression for the coupling between the boundary element method and the lumped element method. The derivation demonstrates the approach for two membranes. It can be extended to any number of membranes, which would then be acoustically coupled using lumped radiation impedance terms. The presentation outlines the idea and demonstrates the approach for calculating the radiation load of a freely radiating cone loudspeaker membrane.
